On May 5th 2015, our Seatrade pool vessel HELLAS REEFER approached Hamburg to discharge cargo loaded in Peru and Ecuador. While on the river Elb and only a few minutes away from her berth at O’Swaldkai, Hamburg was hit by a storm. Five container vessels broke loose from their moorings while the HELLAS REEFER was manoeuvring with two tugs on the river. After the storm had passed, she moored safely alongside and discharged reefer containers and palletized cargo.
